Joseph Evans - Executive Chef

As Executive Chef of D.C.'s Smith and Wollensky's steakhouse for the past three years, Joseph Evans has cooked for dignitaries such as the King of Jordan, the President of Russia, and the President of Argentina, among others.
Evans's expertise in American cuisine and his experience with steakhouse menus allow him to bring a creative perspective to the traditional steakhouse menu.
In the hospitality field since he was a teenager, Evans has worked his way from busboy to Executive Chef.  As a result, Evans understands the bigger picture of the restaurant world.  In 2005, he graduated with a culinary degree from the Art Institute of Houston.  While in school he began his career at Houston's Smith and Wollensky, and after graduation went on to run the restaurant's Philadelphia location.  In 2007, he transferred to the D.C. location where he functioned as Executive Chef.
